The Australian Geothermal Energy Conference http://www.ausgeothermal.com/ wound up last week in Melbourne. International leaders in the field presented.
No-one was buying geothermal stocks on fri so near-term prospects may not be appealing ... anyone got any info from the conference?
It seems the Potter Drilling technology wasn't represented this year - but they did get US govt funding so maybe they're busy spending that.
Just for fun I had a read through the recently released IPCC summary report and the chapter on Geothermal. Have to wait to 2050 before geothermal makes up 3% of global energy supply.

Looks like the killer technologies are going to be Biomas, Wind and Direct Solar.
