geothermal power, when?, page-4

I'll give you a tip, and if the GDY Board has a lick of sense about them, they will listen to what I have to say.

The focus imo should move away from the green credentials of this power source to making profit for investors.

I have looked at geothermal in detail and there is a way that this stuff can make a lot of economic sense. However it involves geothermal as only the first stage in the generation process. You then add gas fire to boost the temps even higher and you will get a highly efficient relatively low CO2 emissions power source.

With all the shale gas nearby this imo should be what the board and mgmt are focussing on. Generate profit for investors first and foremost. It might not be squeaky clean green but it will still be much better than coal or pure gas fired power. It may not even need a carbon price to be profitable.

If and when the whole world goes green would I consider this acreage for purely geothermal power.

Anyway, best of luck to current holders.
