In my experience in the energy industry for over 20 years, geo thermal energy only ever makes money when

1, There is hot rocks/hot water springs close to the surface such as in NZ.

2, The only people to make lots of money are

a, the company/contractor that drills the geo thermal wells

b, The promoters of the geo thermal scheme.

c, That’s it.

Share holders always (I really do mean it) always get zero return.

Unless you can get onto a stock market ramp geothermal energy has never made any one except the above any money.

No dividend no return.

If you like alternative energy have a good look at the companies that equipment for making energy using wind, sea or solar. A much simpler, less risky punt.

Failing that some of the Australian oil companies are still cheap to buy.
