IT is still gestating,  somewhere in the DUG immersion tank womb?
Or was the project,  supported by a Government grant of $5m just over 18 months  back [ in July 2023 [see notice] ] aborted?

It seems a condition of the grant was  funds would  be disbursed over a two-year period in accordance with agreed milestones set out in Appendix 1.*




But before the appendix a bit more about this  project:

It is/was to be a mighty venture;
…   “a campus of high density computing that would provide an excess of 65MW of computing power -  50 times larger than Australia’s largest supercomputer, and the largest in the world by 2-3 times.”

….. And  it has been drawn up by SPH;
[ SPH developed a design … ] that drew inspiration from movie studios, aligning 10 super computing halls along a series of boulevards, each individually secured for their unique clients.

The site also required onsite power generation with a proposed 20MW solar farm and onsite Hydrogen Turbine to power the massive computing demand…”





So it was all go?

“This project has the potential to be transformational for the business and for Western Australia in data processing and storage,” said DUG’s Managing Director, Matt Lamont.
“We have been committed to this project since 2021 and have been working through project funding solutions and groundworks required to the site.”… etc etc

but how many of  the conditions of appendix 1 been met please?
And does anyone know DUG’s current stance on the project?
