I don't think that it was short sellers pushing this down. The market did not like the announcement and reacted to it, whether or not this was over done I don't know. At the end of the day you can only blame yourself for still holding, after all the stock has been in a down trend since June. use of stop losses would allow one to avoid these sort of stressful situations.
