In hindsight I concede the wording for moderating all posts (12) on the thread can be seen as overly critical.
Similarly there is probably and argument that a couple, including your original post could/should have been left in place.
However, by the time I got around to looking at the thread, as a result of a TOU lodged against your post wherein you said:

It was apparent the thread had degenerated into a mud-slinging fight.
Hence, I took the decision that rather than go through the lengthy process of moderating the posts one-by-one, I would moderate the whole thread and put an end to the fighting.
Had I have not done that, then the way things were progressing the "moderation" may well have been a tad more severe than simply pulling the posts.
I trust the foregoing provides an adequate explanation.
