"There is not a chance in hell they have been speaking to the US president"... it was not said that they spoke to Biden they only mention they got in contact. Possibly, they called the secretary of Biden's personal advisor, and she said that Biden has no time and no interest in talking to a company that has been producing only "fluffy announcements" and worthless presentations for six years. So, they had contact, although not a successful one.
