At a high enough level the "left/right" paradigm is of use primarily as a diversion...

But at the normal level of politics it does seem that this left/right paradigm is used primarily as a divide and conquer strategy to keep the people divided and fighting each other rather than identifying their own
"elite rulers" as the common enemy that is crippling destroying them while looting and enslaving then, and to use the characteristic and stunning incompetence, corruption, laziness, greed of the left as a smoke screen to force incredibly stupid, anti-human and destructive leftist policies on the population...
