Shame the German populous doesn't want the power lines to get green energy around the country either.
They want the government to "bury" the lines - Umm OK.
Even if they used HVDC lines being "high voltage direct current" transmission they complain about the converter stations.
"The plant will be a 25-meter-high concrete block and the entire installation will be the size of 70 soccer pitches. As soon as the plans for Moorriem became public, local citizens demonstrated and gathered signatures against it."
That's OK, I'm sure when there freezing to death in a cold German winter opinions will change one way or another.
