    ''It's always the same .

Far right extremists take over from far left extremists , vice versa, back and forth endlessly.''

    no, that's not true
generally, it's far more middle of the road

in France for example - the last time the far right were this powerful was when they came into France in tanks May 10,1940, then formed a right wing government on July 10, same year

the bigger swings generally have been often from ousting long terms of 'the other mob' - Whitlam after 23 years of LNP etc.

Menzies wasn't 'extreme' - and Whitlam wasn't really extreme, just a big catchup - no particular change could have been called 'extreme'.

Now we are hearing what are kind of 'extreme' policies and concepts - the expelling of immigrants etc - and that's not Oz,
that's US and France and UK

then there's the USA - and Project 2025 - now THAT is extreme (and an almost mirror image of Germany Civil service law change from 1933)

there's really no 'extreme left' --------- in France, there's the Communist party - but, if you listen to them lately - of all the parties, they made the most sense of all, interestingly enough - and when they had a lot of power in France - prior to WW2 and just after - they implemented wonderful ideas and changes - which almost all Western nations have adopted and gives all of us a far better way of life etc..

extreme right - hmmm - there's plenty of 'far right' atm - less 'extreme'

what seems to be crystal clear are two things

    1. Conservatism - traditional right - is being smashed out of the park
    2. the far right is strong in some places, far stronger than before

but, there is also something to be aware of -------- that in many countries, the 'current mob' --------- whoever they were - have been dumped - doesn't matter if they were conservative (UK, Oz) or if they were left (NZ, Northern Europe)

if they were in - they got dumped out.

that suggests that people were and are uncomfortable -------- and when people are uncomfortable - they move, they change position

just like when you sit for too long and your arse becomes uncomfortable - you shift position - doesn't really matter much where to - you just do
