'The Powers That Be' have really looked at this incident in Japan and said 'it's just too risky' / 'it's just too costly'. You would never be left with such an enormous risk of radioactive fallout with Decentralised Energy using Fuel Cells (obviously).
I think Solar and Wind have already been pursued quite strongly. I personally believe there are practical applications for both in the right areas of the world & in the right circumstances. BUT now it's time to rollout INTELLIGENT changes, which are MUCH more efficient & also more secure. Fuel Cells have the potential to replace Base-load capacity via a Decentralised Network (it's a mini power station for your home)
