BCC you seem to have misunderstood that baseload is not "dispatchable" --- dispatchable energy is generated on demand from AEMO. it is not baseload which is a relatively constant flow of electricity.
true that renewable energy is not dispatchable either as it operates regardless of demand. but attacked a few hundred Mw of storage (batteries) and you have dispatchable energy, similar to gas peaking plant operation which is slower to respond than batteries.
You say "Moronic Green Ideology": I say any ideology is merely a direction for policy settings..... but ideology can certainly blind one to reality.
I'd add that you guesses at how the market operates is the equivalent of how you describe Green ideology, about which you seem to be in deep ignorance.
