Alot of the "renewables" junkies talk about smart grids and on-grid storage battery technologies etc.I know batteries have come along way recently and a lot of development and advancements is happening all the time, but as a real solution for turning intermettent renewable energy into baseload power is 10's of years off.
As Bill points out "all of the batteries ever made on the earth, would hold enough electricity to power the world for 10 minutes."
So obviously a looooooong way to go for on-grid storage systems for all of the eco-decoration renewable schemes put forward.
