    I maintain that nuclear energy will have no place in the future after the next major economic crisis causes man to recognise that wholesale changes are required if we are to have any hope of survival as a civilisation.

    You see we've essentially reached a point of being unable to achieve further economic growth because of the physical contraints of resource availability. It's simply not possible because to do so would defy the laws of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics!

    We have already seen the responses from our ecosytem in terms of climate and indeed natural disasters, to the strain man has placed on the planet. I would have to say what we've seen thus far are but warning signs.

    Germany have at least made the positive step (in theory at least at this point), to commence making the necessary changes. Instead of being critical of the German Government for making such a bold and courageous decision, applaude this major economy for being one of the first to make a stand.
