    Thanks opaline, I was about to post something similar about this dodgy news source. The Republican party and also our own Nick Minchin came to mind with this fiction.

    The Germans have a renewable electricity target of 30% by 2030 and 80% by 2050. In my opinion the Germans are very serious about this and it is the sort of stuff the uranium industry should take note of and the future impact on energy supply. A few years ago I posted that we should not underestimate the future of renewables, and this, at a time my portfolio was full of u stock. Anyway, even a decade ago these targets would have been fanciful, but technology is stepping up to the challenge. Just read the papers everyday and watch the cost of solar panels drop, incredible.

    Nuclear energy will probably always have a place, but the hurdles are only getting higher.
