The discussion on Gerry Harvey and the tax proposal has been an enjoyable read. However, on this Australian Stock Market Forum I would like to see a discussion on CGT, and the effect it has on your trading.

Except for some stocks the days of buy and hold are gone. We can double our money in a matter of days. We can create wealth, which in turn, will be distributed around this country. We do our research, commit to the risk, endure a sleepless night or two, and when a profit is made gladly give a good chunk away to the government.

This does not make me a happy citizen.

I'm gonna pour myself a kahlua cocktail, kick back, and read on.
