    The problem with warranties - esp: with TVs - is that there is a shortage of people that can or want to fix them. I can tell you (coming from experience) I have had a TV (just under warranty - Phew!!) and the company (good company - I thought), stopped making a certain part (dead set) ... so 3 mths on - paid out and bought a different brand TV. So outcome good (new TV), but was without a TV for around 3 mths. There is no money in TV repairs (I am told), so warranties are good, but be prepared to wait for the service (if it goes bad).
