Failure to adapt down at front store retail land is hardly a taxpayer problem. Its a retailer's problem ... there needs to be bankruptcies because the current model of retailing has it wrong. At the moment we are all propping up the commercial real estate sector with our consumption. Nowhere is it written that consumption should carry the cost of an inflated commercial real estate project.
Commercial property is a house of cards and it should not be the tax payers problem!!! No doubt Gillard will bail it out when it tumbles ...
