    Good to catch up with you.

    Not a political animal myself but understand systems of inertia and self interest would make it very hard indeed.

    But then again is that not what great leaders are all about?
    The ability to see the obvious and have the will to make a decision.

    I reckon if a federal pollie would come out with a viable system of federal / local shared government outlining the tax dollars to be saved, the subsequent effect on income tax and a successful sell for the optimisation of planning on a national level the electorate would swallow it up, would even go so far as to say that abolition of state government is inevitable to sustain our quality of life.

    Australian's like their little pleasures like health, education, social compassion and the like but seems to me with our population we have to be a hell of a lot smarter to afford these into the future.

    Just needs some pollie with bit of vision and will of an ox to get the discussion rolling , as I have mentioned above an informed electorate would have the state pollies very nervous indeed.

    Forget about pollies superannuation and the like, we need strategic change.
