Correct @Lake Charles.
On the one hand, the internet in general & HC specifically provides a forum for any "genius" to post their opinion and potentially influence others. Conversely, this creates a alot of noise for genuine investors who want access to ojective and well-analysed information.
Fortunately, as you so correctly stated, most of a poster's records can be read and assessed to see whether they are worth following.
IMHO, posters like @bruham, come in very handy - just do the opposite of what they post; easy!
In fact, there's a stock I'm looking at currently that Bruham has posted on in the past and actually likes.
I immediately ceased my analysis and removed it from my watchlist - thanks Bruham for saving me the time.
If I could really be bothered, I'd actually "follow" him for his inverse investment advice.
