And considering Mike Scott was headhunted from Woodside ( and probably some of the other 3 technical guys)
Scott would have a VERY good understanding Of Timor with his WPL background.
He would not bother wasting time ( remember Scott now has all those 1.9 mill oppies exercisable at 55 cents), cash etc if the big boys had it sown up - where they are not welcome.
Notice how gently WPL and the Aust Govt are treading with the recent " boundary " negotiations for the Timor Sea ?
There are bigger things in store for WPL in Timor if they play their cards right.
COE will be pitching hard for Timor imo.
Have a look at the govt website...Onshore oil seeps.
The Japanese were taking 100 barrels a day from the surface during WW2.
And the Timor govt have been outspoken in saying they dont want to follow the course of other oil rich nations that have squandered their oil weath - corruption from oil majors etc, which I gather Ian was referring to.
COE will be in Timor somewhere imo.
