re: get on for a ride tiger I stand corrected. The actual reward scheme is as follows:

"The Cabcharge board resolved to pay 2& inc GST to those supporting the electronic payment system, subject to the following criteria. Cabcharge will pay a 2% inc GST commission on the total amount of all transactions (excluding MPTP) electronically processed above the benchmarked performance of the taxi network in the past six accounting periods to 31/12/2005."

Apologies for the confusion.

Notwithstanding, Cabcharge makes the greatest margin on their own Cabcharge accounts where there is no need to share the surcharge fee as is the case with Amex, DC, MC, Visa etc.

Thus the introduction of the blue e-ticket cutting their processing costs down whilst maintaining their margins.
