jazzmox, Rudd would probably respond and say that's what the ETS is for. Of course anyone who believes the ETS will avert a possible global warming catastrophe is need of serious help. If he truly believes that we are facing such a catastrophe then he should be thumping on the tables at all the meetings he's been involved with all over the world and demand all the governments to agree to assist business or government owned enterprises to build as many solar, wind, hydro and nuclear power stations as possible. If he had done that I'd vote for him even if he failed to convince anyone. Of course there are exceptions. China is already doing this but they still could do more to stop building more and more coal fire powered stations. Which brings up another ludicrous situation. What are we to do about China building so many coal powered fire stations? Not sure if India is in the same situation. Amazing. It's all just one big silly joke.
