2. Typically as individuals reach superannuation they withdraw part of their super balances in lump sum to spend it as well as taking a regular payment. Winding down super takes this stimulus out of the economy . (This raises the fascinating question of how much the present economy is being held up by superannuants ) IT is not untypical to upgrade car whitegoods etc at this time
