Have to note that there are coal plants (such as QLD's government owned assets) which are running well below capacity... if they chose to ... they could increase production to export into NSW... it could help to bring the spot price down...
they could also choose to operate their Wivenhoe Pumped Hydro plant at the most expensive time of the day... rather than the cheapest (which is what they currently do)...
As with everything... political agendas at play.
A few board seats have been vacated... but MCB will still have to be voted in by shareholders
