Most of the stations are well past design life. Now with the green push to get out of coal, why would have spent millions maintaining as asset "that Australia doesn't need".
We are only in this crisis because all the green fairies are finally realising renwables is all media propoganda. It's import for out future, but, and I stress this significantly, the technology is not ready.
