you do know what ASAP means don't you???? I would have to emphasise the last two letters... AGL as a electricity generator have to ensure that they can generate adequate stable electricity supply... without coal, they are currently unable to do that... the MCB plan was to accelerate the next generation of assets so coal plants can be retired (as soon as possible)
if you think you should run like the wind - you go for it... personally I think it has been gentlemans club here for far too long and the last 10 years have shown that the "expert" managers and BoD for oversight at AGL have made more wrong decisions than right ones... just because someone doesn't have a PhD in electricity markets - doesn't immediately mean they are not better suited for the job.
