Thanks for the heads up on the commercial shorts on the USD woteva. I'll take that as a serious development.

John Williams of Shadow Stats was interviewed by Eric King overnight. He is seeing the setting up of a hyperinflationary depression in the US. Paraphrasing part of the interview, he expects that within a year or so there will be a massive selloff in the USD and dumping of foreign held treasuries, and the Fed stepping in as the lender of last resort will lead to further monetisation of the debt resulting in hyperinflation.

We may be witnessing the beginning of it now, certainly the conditions are stacking up for the "double dip depression" as he calls it, with some of the largest US states on the verge of bankruptcy. Although not calling a time on it, once it begins the hyperinflation can develop in a month or two, he says.
