At least one Aussie bullion dealer is so short of silver that he is offering to buy large quantities at spot - phoning up clients to see if they will sell back to him.
I don't know whether he is literally "short", or just has other clients prepared to pay well over spot (his usual premium is 6%) for immediate delivery, rather than sit on the five month waiting list.
