The issue with exploring for Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) type deposits on the Gawler Craton (and Curnamona Craton) is that the relationship between mineralisation and geophysical indications is indirect and subtle. As you can see from the TAS presentations, the mineralisation is associated with haematite (which is heavy and gives a positive anomaly) and may also have magnetite associated. The Prominent Hill discover illustrates the problem. Drilling has shown that the mineralisation is not directly related to either the gravity or magnetic anomalies. It is essential in exploring such targets to drill multiple holes. This will allow the explorer to 'get some vectors going' and track down the mineralisation.
One hole is almost certainly not going to do it. It requires follow-up holes. It looks like the TAS geologists were encouraged by the indications that they saw in the core for that first hole - certainly sufficient to get them excited! Lets see what the next hole brings.
