As for the so-called wealth destruction, after 49 years in the workforce, I have never encountered a start-up company of any sort which started without any capital investment and yet made a profit from day one.
The very nature of commodities exploration makes it inevitable that large amounts of capital will be expended before resources are found, and then quantified to justify development. More companies fall by the wayside than succeed.
I'm not sure what is in your mind, but I know that in my mind there is a measure of confidence that CTP is sitting on what might well prove to be one of the largest energy fields ever discovered in Australia.
If you believe that the company could have got anywhere near this stage without substantial expenditure being incurred, perhaps you also believe in the tooth fairy.
