The very reason the plant isn't built in Australia. Cost of labour.

You can blame anyone or any reason you like but it won't change anything.
The people currently employed are operating what they are given and how they are instructed to operate it. To blame them is totally unrealistic.

This is a highly complex plant and process. Anyone who thinks there won't be teething problems is wrong.

Physicists can have a concept. Engineers can design it. People can build it. Pilot plants can prove the theory and design. But doesn't mean when you go full scale it will be perfect first go. Some things take years to find the root cause.

Lynas has done a good job getting this far. The fact that they have identified problems and have identified ways to try and resolve them are great. They may work first try or they may not.
