According to one train of thought - the term climate change arose as a result of an American focus group, replacing 'global warming' to make it seem less important. This was (allegedly) linked to Dick Cheney. I've been lucky enough to visit wineries in Italy and Bordeaux relatively recently. Ask then about climate change and you get a very definitive answer. Practices they have followed for (I would think) centuries have to be changed directly as a result of climate. In Bordeaux they are looking to change the mix of grapes in order to survive - grapes that are more tolerant to heat.
