regarding Jeff Hutton's article in the AFR article today

there is a piece of information that Jeff Hutton failed to mention regarding Hastings and SPARCS - he says that Hastings owns half the SPARCS - which is true - which is about 42.5 million.

What Jeff failed to mention was that SPARCS are being paid out in full - i.e. 100 cents in the dollar as compared with the BEPPA's who are getting 43 cents in the dollar + some upside in the AET&D Assets - if there is anything left after BBI / BAM extract, what in my opinion are extortionate fees.

Therefore, there is and always was a very large incentive for Hastings to vote yes - and given that Hastings owns 50% and SPARCS have previously voted down a BBI proposal - I suspect that the deal was structured for this precise reason.
