GetUp activist now a 'taxpayer-funded worker for Zali Steggall'

Advance Australia has claimed a GetUp activist who campaigned against Tony Abbott in Warringah is now a taxpayer-funded worker in Zali Steggall's office. Ms Steggall's co-manager during the election, Louise Haslop, was reported as a "known GetUp supporter". She is now on official documents as the Independent MP's Electorate Officer. Advance Australia National Director Gerard Benedet told Sky News ‘she had a campaign manager who was part of an exclusive action group for GetUp, who now appears in Zali’s Canberra office as a paid employee of the taxpayer’.
