There are many grants that can help us build a better Warringah.

Volunteers Grant 2021
Grants between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to assist eligible not-for-profit community organisations to support the efforts of their volunteers by covering:
- Small portable equipment purchases
- Cost of training volunteers
- Reimbursement of fuel costs for volunteers
- Background screening checks for volunteers
- Transport costs of volunteers with a disability
- Activities aimed at increasing volunteering opportunities
- Adapting practices to assist volunteer safety due to COVID.
This grant will require applicants to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to Zali's office. We have $132,450 to give to Warringah not-for-profit organisations whose workforce consists of at least 40% volunteers. CLICK HERE for a map of Warringah.

Flood Relief
There is support if you have lost income as a direct result of the floods in New South Wales in March 2021.
New South Wales Floods, March 2021 - Disaster Recovery Allowance - Services Australia
Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) is a short term payment to help you if a declared disaster directly affects your income.
You can get it for a maximum of 13 weeks from the date you lose income as a direct result of the New South Wales floods in March 2021.
DRA is a taxable payment.
To get it, you must also meet all of the following. You:
- were 16 or older at the time of the disaster
- are an Australian resident or hold an eligible visa
- work or live in an affected Local Government Area (LGA)
- lost income as a direct result of the disaster
- earn less than the average weekly income in the weeks after you had this income loss.
If you’re between 16 and 21 years old, you must be considered to be independent to get this payment in terms of the following:
- your income
- your personal circumstances
- if you’re dependent on anyone, such as an adult who has legal responsibility for your care and provides financial assistance.
Note: Australian Bureau of Statistics figures indicate the average weekly income equates to $1713.90 per week from 1 January 2021.

Stronger Communities Grant
Zali's electorate office was given $150, 000 to distribute to eligible incorporated not-for-profits within Warringah for small capital projects ($2500 to $20, 000 per project).
The process started with completing an Expression of Interest.
The deadline for EOIs was 7 February 2021 and is now CLOSED.
14 projects have now been chosen. Thank you to everyone who submitted an EOI.
Community Building Partnership Grant
CBP will consider funding requests between $5000 and $150,000 for projects involving:
•capital works including construction of new community infrastructure as well as refurbishment, repair and maintenance of existing community infrastructure
•purchase of equipment with a minimum individual asset value of more than $5000
•purchase of vehicle with a minimum individual asset value of more than $5000.Closes 14 May 2021

2021 NAIDOC Grant - NSW State government funding
This grant is to support activities and events in NSW held during NAIDOC Week (4 – 11 July 2021) that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements. The theme for NAIDOC Week in 2021 is Heal Country!
Applicants can apply for grants from $500 to $3,000.
Public schools who want to apply for a NAIDOC Grant should approach an eligible organisation to partner with, such as an incorporated P&C, incorporated local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) or Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC) who can be the applicant.

Social Sector Transformation Fund
Government grants for small and medium-sized charities and not-for-profits working in health and social service to help them modernise their operations, so they can remain efficient, effective and viable.$20, 000 - $200, 000 grants for organisations to focus on capacity building, better digital service delivery, remote working capabilities and improving business strategies.

Feed Appeal Grants
This grant focuses on supporting local charities to deliver effective and targeted food relief programs to their local community. Funding requests must directly impact, improve, and build the capacity, capability and/or efficiency of your food relief program.
Feed Appeal invests in programs and projects that improve the lives of people experiencing hunger or food insecurity. Funding helps organisations meet the demand and alleviate food insecurity in their local community.
Grants of up to $50,000 are available.

Impact Investment Ready - Growth Grant
The Impact Investment Ready Growth Grant equips for-profit and not-for-profit organisations with the support they need to create tangible social outcomes. The fund allows them to secure investment capital to fast-track the growth and scale of their project which will solve a predominantly Australia-based social problem.
The Impact Investment Ready Growth Grants are funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS) Sector Readiness Fund and the following trusts in Equity Trustee's SIP Program; Trudy and Florence Williams Charitable Trust, managed by Equity Trustees and The Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation (LMCF).
Grant decisions are made by an independent panel of experts.
Applications are encouraged from all organisations that focus on one or more of the following outcome areas:
•Early Childhood & Education
•Employment, Training & Participation
•Housing & Local Amenity
•Physical Health & Disability
•Family, Communities & Inclusion
•Mental Health & Well-being
•Income & Financial Inclusion
