Empty vessels make the most noise goes the old saying.
Just imagine the Get Up turnout in Canberra on March 23rd. They have the advantage of a majority of the Canberra office workers in the bureaucracies, the ones who can only benefit from more and mroe tax red tape/pen pushing to come into force - the so-called "Green" jobs Brown's spouting on about.
Yes, Get Up will be there in droves - dronwing out the little old ladies and men who can hardly oput one leg in front of the other, yet who've spent all night bussing it up to the Capital, or the poor frayed nerves battlers who've piled the kids in their cars and made the gruelling trip. Much easier to get to Canberra from Sydney than it is from Melbourne.
And, of course, Julia or Wayne will come out to the "thunderous" applause from the Get Up bludgers, and make it look as if 80% of us are FOR this punitive tax. Of course, the usual rent-a-crowd from the Unions, and Labor groupies who live off Welfare and volunteer in Labor electorates will fill the crowds and scream in support of Julia. With well organised, professionally done placards.
Perhaps John Hewson and Malcolm Fraser, those well known Liberal Party "loyalists", will be there, too, spouting their spite and bile against Tony Abbott.
Dare I even suggest that many Get Up screamers may well be paid by thew Union movement to be there and cause a disruptive ruckus!
The real battlers will be paying for themselves - the ones who can least afford the time, or the money.
