True but in my opinion as time goes by the infections will reach a balance and booster shots for the most part will be optional as more treatments for the symptoms and the virus become available.
Australia's problem is that we limited the exposure of our citizens to the virus by closing the international borders. Consequently we have a lot of catching up to do with other countries regarding acquired immunity through exposure to the infected.
Giving the vulnerable protection is a good thing IMHO.
