ASIC is the regulatory body. ASX does not list any company unless it completes its due diligence. Yes companies go broke all the time and investors do take risks. But this is not a stock exchange where we are trading bananas, I trust the ASX as a secure platform to trade stock.
In the case of Emerge gaming, they didn't do enough i believe to protect investors.
