On 23/12/02 Mr M Cutifani advised that he was resigning as Managing Director to pursue overseas opportunities. He said he was going to resign as a Director in mid February.
For those with a limited numeracy ability the 14th February is the mid of the month.
The hedging situation may be difficult for some but you must look at both the gold hedging and the $A hedging.
If both gold and the $A go up there is a cancelling effect.
At the end of the day if gold goes up and the $A stays the same the only thing lost is the opportunity for greater profits from gold. The margin is the same for SOG at $300/oz or $400/oz.
I am looking for the number of shares held by Mr Cutifani. I suspect that the sales late today may have been his before he moves on.
Again I say to the "floggers" do your research before you make such nonsensical statements.
