To see a visible six-pack, you'd probably need to get your bodyfat percentage down to under 11-12%. You should see be working your abs even if there is a layer of fat covering them, so that if/when you do eventually lose that fat, your abs will be well developed and clearly visible.
The key to getting ripped is a good diet. Avoiding saturated fats and sugar is a start.
My diet generally consists of chicken, beef, oats, protein powder, veges and almonds.
Good luck, and remember, consistency is the key - these things do take months.
