The upcoming changes in reporting the hours billed to parents will commence on 2 July 2018.
LDC's all charge a daily rate, regardless of the number of hours a child attends. From July next year, all accounts issued to parents will list the number of hours a child spends in care, against the number of hours billed to parents.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Education Minister Simon Birmingham said the reforms would make it "crystal clear to taxpayers if they are getting bang for their buck".
Basically now reporting to parents; the hours they are paying for compared to the number of hours they are using.
Forcing flexibility or as was quoted today by a well respected voice in ECEC "Birmo continues push for hourly billing of early education & care. Demonising services easier than funding them".
