+++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Directors of Plenty River Corporation Limited are delighted to announce that the Dampier Nitrogen Project has achieved environmental approval for its world scale ammonia/urea plant which is to be located in the King Bay - Hearson Cove industrial precinct on the Burrup Peninsula.
The granting of this approval is a major step forward for the Dampier Nitrogen project in which Plenty River Corporation Limited has a 39% participating interest.
Dampier Nitrogen project participants are Agrium Inc of Canada (the world's second largest producer of nitrogenous fertilisers), Plenty River Corporation Limited, Thiess Pty Ltd and Uhde GmbH of Germany (a subsidiary of Thyssen Krupp).
The plant will provide approximately 1.2 million tonnes of granular urea and 100,000 tonnes of ammonia each year with revenues of around $300 million.
