the announcements are timed exactly to make it appear positive, so you'll want to take it up

on the other hand, you know that if you don't take it up, someone else will... and maybe they are getting a good deal at your expense.

so who knows really....

In my opinion, if you have a large position and are down > 25%, then why bother throwing more money at it. Let the sp rise, if it was going to anyway. A few more measly shares isn't gonna change your overall position.
