Bacci that is a great question. I hope you don't mind me putting my bit in. Both Australia and the USA have become quite irreverent in their life style choices. We voted in an atheist leader didn't we? Why doesn't that bother us? We thought it was great because Julia was "honest" to admit it. Obama has proclaimed "we are no longer a Christian Nation" but a Muslim,Hindu and non believer nation. Why doesn't that bother Americans? Both leaders are socialists. It sends the message to Islam whether we like it or not that Australia, America, and any nation that is not respectful of God as easy, weak, ripe for the pickings. More fool us. We can come in under the radar,get financial support,they are too dumb to notice.

You may ask,what has this got to do with anything? The left is ignorant of the deep historical roots of Islam due to their atheist leanings. At the moment voters are going along for the ride,but will soon get a rude awakening. The anything goes socialist,dependent on government mentality always comes to a sticky end.
Abbott and co., Although not perfect, are very aware and informed and do stand for the values we have lost.
