just who was/is underwriting all those US subprime mortgages? It will be interesting to see when the dust finally settles. China will be OK, they will just "close up shop', after the Olympics of coarse, and have a good old communist purge if their fan is hit too hard. The US can't, nor can Japan, or even us.
