LordP, to be honest, I tried your suggestion first. And sometimes made some money - and sometimes lost some - or a lot (DEF!).
When I started using Commsec, and doing my own research, I would ask him what he thought of AED, or ADY, or LYC, and he either didn't know anything, or was dismissive. His biggest success for me was GDN - but he only got me to buy it for a 2c capital return after sale of some gold assets - which fell through - so they decided to go gas exploring. So his best recommendation only succeeded through pure luck. And we all need some of that!!
