Pollies are a waste of our time. As Trump said, drain the swamp. Australia is stuffed full of these self driven bludgers. Talk about a wasteful rip off having this many doing so little. Both the major parties need a lot of time on the side lines but the independents are even more out of touch. Palmer was saying he spoke with 2 Labor senate members who said they never did or said anything in 14 years. They thought it would upset a leftie faction within Labor and wanted the pension. Palmer is dead right but the main street press hate him. The entire idea is that its a two party system. You will get very negative press on anyone else who looks like a possible player. They get crushed by the major parties and the dodgy press. They basically determine which party runs the country and then they decide on the person. They replace people we vote for and the press fan the change.
