The 3% fee is to pay for legal costs for the class action. You would have to pay your own costs if you took on GGP on your own and with a class action it is no different but just your money pooled together.By paying costs it appears the IG members will get 100% of any settlement not 40-60% which is the norm with no win no fee cases.

Could you take on the directors of GGP for just 3% of your loss on your own?
Maybe you should decide how badly you want your investment back and if its worth 3% of that investment. If not then just accept you have been conned by people who had full intend of taking your money off you and GGP was just the vehicle they chose to use. Your money is never coming back unless the company directors are their insurance company is forced to provide it.
