ghana - accra block

Just as an indicator of what could be held in Accra.

Afren yesterday released their full year results and included within there were details of a farmout that they just completed with ENI on the Keta block (next to Accra).

They farmed out 35% at fairly decent terms but the big thing for RIA is the increase in prospective resources in the block from 604m barrels to 1,412m barrels. Also due to spud probably in the 3rd quarter so before Tap I would guess as they have to process the 3D but would certainly give an indication as to how prospective the block will be for RIA.

Also, if you download the presentation that is on their website www.afren.com and go to slide 26 you can see the area they have currently mapped out with seismic, the remaining area may well also be shot following on from the drilling occurring in Q3.
